Retail: $529 New condition The instruction manual for the Setu Side Chair (2009) is pretty straightforward: Sit down. This multipurpose chair defines flexibility -- it moves as the user moves and its simple, clean aesthetic suits nearly any room or office. Its true innovation comes from the patented kinematic spine, which connects the back and seat into one continuous support. Inspired by nature with its spiraling nautilus shell shape and contours, this unique spine conforms to the shape of your own spine, without any manual adjustments or complicated lumbar supports. It's no accident that this chair is designed for a healthy back -- Setu means "bridge" in Sanskrit and evokes the Yoga pose Setu Bandhasana, an accessible and strengthening backbend. The Setu Side Chair is manufactured by Herman Miller®. Made in U.S.A.  Available with Graphite or Slate Grey frame. Set on a four-star base. Weighs only 20 pounds. Seat and back are made with Lyris™ elastomer -- an innovative material that distributes weight evenly by stretching in every direction. Both Greenguard and Cradle-to-Cradle certified, Setu is made from 44% recycled content is 93% recyclable. Selected by I.D.'s 2010 Annual Design Review as a Design Distinction Winner in the Furniture category. H 36" W 19" D 17.25" Seat H 18.5"
