The XL-BW has a white, one-piece, heavy-duty, unbreakable cover made of fiberglass reinforced, bulk-molded thermoset compound (similar to the fiberglass hull of a boat). The 5/8HP motor is automatically activated by an infrared sensor; dryer operates as long as hands are under the air outlet. An air velocity of 14,000 linear feet per minute and an air temperature of 135°F are produced at hand level (4in. below nozzle). Mounting hardware and instructions included. SPECIFICS: In 2002, the warm-air hand dryer landscape was forever changed when the Excel Dryer Co. first introduced the Xlerator hand dryer.  As the world’s first high-speed hand dryer capable of drying the user’s hands in only 10 to 15 seconds, the Xlerator set the new standard for the entire hand dryer industry.  There are six (6) different Xlerator models.  The internals components and performance of all six are identical.  The only difference in the Xlerator models is the material and appearance of the cover.  Specific to the Model XL-BW, a flame-retardant, fiberglass-reinforced white thermoset polymer (or Bulk Molded Compound) is used to form the one-piece, highly-durable, vandal-resistant cover.  Two tamper-resistant, chrome plated bolts secure the cover to the wall plate/motor base.  The Xlerator uses a powerful “series commutated through-flow discharge vacuum motor/blower” design.  At 5/8HP or 20,000 RPM, this powerful yet extremely efficient motor can produce an air velocity of 19,000 lfm (linear feet per minute) at the nozzle or 16,000 lfm at hand level (approx. 4” below the nozzle).  A sound level of 80 to 81 dB is generated by the deflection of the high-speed air flow off the user’s hands (a quieter nozzle available upon request at no additional charge).  Dry time is an amazing 10 to 15 seconds, which is 3 X faster than standard 30-second hand dryers.  But the actual length of the run cycle is determined by the user.  The motor and the NiChrome heating element are activated by an infrared optical sensor, and as soon as the user's hands are removed from under the unit, the drying cycle is terminated.  The Xlerator heats the out-flowing air to approx.135°F (from an ambient temperature of 72°F) through a combination of the 970W heating element, friction, and the compression of the air flow.  Mounting instructions and warranty information are included.  Since its introduction, the Xlerator has been often imitated but has yet to be duplicated and remains the standard for high-speed hand dryers.
