New W59-50 HEX-WIK Unfluxed Desoldering Braid 0.15" X 50 ft The W5 Series Desoldering Braid is a Bare Copper Braid Unfluxed. You need to deep the braid in any type of flux before it is used. Solder Fluxes consist of mild organic acid of strong inorganic acid which, when heated, serves to remove and exclude surface oxidizers from the base metal.
