THE WLD L6M-3C-RSL SURFACE SLOT-LOOP IS A PRE-MANUFACTURED 6M. PERIMETER READY-TO-LAY, 3 TURN LOOP WITH TAIL OF MINIMUM LENGTH 4.0M. This loop has a low O.D. loop that will fit (snuggly)in a 6mm. wide slot. THIS LOOP COMES WITH ONE OF OUR OWN PROVEN LOOP DETECTORS THE WLD L6M-3C-SURFACE SLOT-LOOP is a loop FOR the Parking and Gate Automation industry. IT IS A LOOP WITH A 3 CORE/TURN WORKING LOOP, COMPRISING A 3-CORE CABLE WITH A ROUND OUTER SHEATH. The first 2M length of the feeder/tail is able to be buried, The loop cable and tail is not manufactured using heat resistant insulation and/or sheath, but its outer sheath is intended to be laid in a suitably sized slot cut into a tarmac or concrete roadway surface. This loop is to NOT intended be used for direct burial. Our heavier "Burial Loop" & "Tuff Loop" range is recommended for installations where the loop is to be buried. A test sheet with inductance & loop resistance and anticipated "Car Detection Height" AND installation guidelines is EMAILED at time of dispatch of the loop. THE LOOP COMPRISES 2 MAIN PARTS; THE LOOP ITSELF WHICH IS MADE USING CAREFULLY SELECTED MULTICORE CABLE & THE FEEDER (TAIL) MADE USING 2 EQUAL LENGTHS OF FLEXIBLE WIRING, MACHINE TWISTED (TIGHTLY) SEALED IN A SHEATH. THE TWO ITEMS ARE CAREFULLY SOLDERED, INSPECTED AND TESTED, THEN JOINTS PROTECTED BY HEAT-SHRINK TUBING. THE FEEDER IS FULLY "WRAPPED" FOR FIRST 2M, WITH A FURTHER 1 to 1.5M FITTED WITH SHORT SLEEVING EVERY 40 TO 50CM. TOTAL FEEDER/TAIL LENGTH IS 4.0M. Minimum. THE LOOP IS SEALED AGAINST INGRESS OF GROUND WATER AND CAN BE SAFELY LAID IN A SURFACE CUT SLOT PRIOR TO DESPATCH THE LOOP IS FIRST FULLY TESTED AND WELL PACKED FOR WORLDWIDE SUPPLY. PRE-DESPATCH TESTING PROCEDURE. The loop is laid out on the workshop floor which can reasonably be assumed to contain some steel reinforcing bar. Accordingly, indicative detection heights obtained with our test object can be lower than would likely be obtained with the same loop laid in a slot in a domestic un-reinforced driveway. They may well approximate the MINMUM performance to be obtained in a light commercial tarmac or brick surfaced roadway.
