Description You are looking at the Motorola/Symbol DS6707 USB barcode scanner, new in box with optional stand and USB cable. By default, this barcode scanner connects to your computer via USB and emulates a keyboard, sometimes called a keyboard wedge. When you scan a barcode, it sends the data as keystrokes to any application you are using, not just POS systems. Of course it works with POS systems, the quick start guide included in the box has barcodes you can scan to set the scanner to communicate via several popular protocols. The scanner emits a targeting reticule to assist in scanning and is motion activated when you pick up the scanner. Place the scanner in the stand and it becomes a motion activated barcode scanner. Simply pass a barcode under the scanner and it jumps alive and scans the barcode, all handsfree!
