New National Instruments (NI) PCIe-8431/8, 8-port RS485/RS422 interface board for PCI Express (PCIe), new SH68-8DB9 RS485 1M cable (PN 197546B-01), and new NI-Serial 14.0 software. The items comprise a complete PCIe-8431 kit, however the outer box is not included; you will receive all the items shown, nothing else is included. These items are all new, sealed in original NI packaging with all labeling, and the PCIe-8431 tamper evident seal remains intact. From NI- The NI PCIe-8431/8 is a high-performance, 8-port asynchronous serial interface for high-speed communication with RS485 and RS422 devices at rates of up to 3 Mbit/s. NI high-performance RS485 and RS422 interfaces are available with up to 16 ports. The NI PCIe-8431/8 offers flexible baud rates for data transmissions between 2 baud and 3,000,000 baud with better than 0.015 percent accuracy for standard baud rates, 0.5 percent for nonstandard baud rates, and 1.3 percent above 1 Mbit/s. NI 843x serial interfaces feature high-performance DMA transfers, multithreading, and multiprocessor support. Unlike traditional interrupt-based serial interfaces, you can use multiple NI serial interfaces to communicate with dozens of ports at high rates effortlessly in a single system with minimal CPU usage. NI serial interfaces also show up as standard COM ports for compatibility with programs that use serial communications.
