The bearings on the pressure roller hold the position of the pressure roller relative to the drum. Play or slack in the bearings causes registration issues, stretching of the master, degradation of the image, tearing of the master, premature drum failure, pressure roller wear, and image skew. A bearing failure can cause the pressure roller to crash into the drum causing catastrophic damage to the duplicator. This pressure roller uses ABEC 7 Bearings that are twice as precise as the factory bearings and definitely more precise than those on any other pressure roller currently offered in the market place. Unsealed Bearing Loosing Oil and Collecting Paper Dust You can feel and measure the difference in radial play, axial play, and wobble.
