This item is a new factory sealed CPU. The fault-tolerant S7-400H system will be supplemented by the new CPU 414-4H. The functionality and configuration correspond to that of the CPU 417-4H. The difference is a reduced quantity framework (see technical specifications). As is the case with the CPU 417-4H, the CPU 414-4H can also be used to design failsafe S7-400F/FH systems. Design: Same as the CPU 417-4H, the CPU 414-4H has a total of 4 interfaces: one Profibus-DP interface, one combined MPI/Profibus-DP interface two interfaces for the Sync modules to connect two redundant CPUs Configuration: The following components are needed to design an S7-400H system with a CPU 414H: Rack (1 x UR2-H or 2 x standard racks): 6ES7 400-2JA00-0AA0 (UR2-H) Two CPUs 414-4H One memory card per CPU (standard memory card, RAM or Flash EPROM) Two Sync modules per CPU (4 per system): 6ES7 960-1AA00-0XA0 Two connecting cables per system 6ES7 960-1AA00-5AA0 (1 m) 6ES7 960-1AA00-5BA0 (2 m) 6ES7 960-1AA00-5KA0 (10 m) Other lengths up to 500 m on request S7 H Systems V 5.1 optional package (CD-ROM, 5 languages, runs only under STEP 7 V5.1 or higher): 6ES7 833-2AC00-2YX0 STEP 7 V5.1 with Service Pack 1 Redundant PROFIBUS slave interface IM 153-2 We recommend the redundancy bundle in this case. It consists of two IM 153-2 modules and the corresponding bus module. Order no.: 6ES7 153-2AR00-0XA0 Important: Operation of the ET 200M is only supported by active bus modules. The IM 153-2 (6ES7 153-2AA02-0XB0) should have release 6 or higher (shipped since Sept. 2000) New for fault-tolerant communication: With the CPU 414H (as is the case with the CPU 417 with firmware > 2.1), fault-tolerant communication can also be configured via 4 communications processors (two each per subunit/CPU). The CPU 417H with firmware 2.1 and below permitted this with only 2 CPs. Single operation Same as with the CPU 417-4H, the CPU 414-4H also permits single operation. No Sync module is required in this case. This operating module is intended for the following cases: Operation as S7-400F system Use of the function "redundant communication", which is only supported by H-CPUs. This function permits transparent, fault-tolerant communication with other H CPUs and PCs on which the REDCONNECT software has been loaded.
