I have a bag of 10 heavy duty Zinc plated, 5/16 x 18 TPI standard course thread T-Nuts up for auction today. These are some heavy duty T-Nuts as the length is right at 3/4" long with right at 5/8" of thread engagement, the base is 7/8" in diameter and there are 4 of the 3/8" long spike sticking up from the base. One of the big chain stores I went to was charging $1.18 for a pack of 2 T-nuts and they were the little short ones with 3 engagement spikes. These heavy duty hard to find T-Nuts are what you need on your next wood working project to handle the load!
