Up for auction is a dress form from the New York Dress Form Company. This dress form is in excellent structural condition, there are a few minor cosmetic issues with the fabric on the torso. See pics for further details, email me with specific questions and/or photo requests. This has a metal frame skirt and a solid metal base with claw feet and casters. I have been unable to find any information regarding this company but my best guess it's that this is from the 1880's-1907. The address on the front label says: New York Dress Form Co. (2) 30 West 32nd St New York City This address has been the home to the Hall-Borchert Dress Form Company since 1908. I'm sorry I don't have more history for this item, I welcome any information that can be passed along! Dimensions of Dressform in its closed state: 1. This stands at approximately 61" from the casters to the top piece. There is an adjustable knob underneath the that raises the height up to approximately 72". 2. The claw feet are approximately 18" going across 2 of them diagonally 3. The wire cage is approximately 21.25" long from the waist to the feet. 4. The waist is approximately 37" around. 5. The bust is approximately 33.5" around. 6. The shoulders are approximately 13" apart. The dress form has adjustable wing nuts under the torso and a wooden knob on top, these expand the metal cage and torso. Because of its size and weight shipping would be extremely costly. I am looking for someone who can pick up in the Albany, NY area. I would be willing to meet a few hours away given payment and gas reimbursement paid in advance. If you are unable to pick up locally and want to make such travel arrangements, please contact me before the auction ends to come to an agreement.
