NIB-RCA TYPE 83 RECTIFIER TUBE. USED IN HICKOK/TV-7 TUBE TESTERS & MANY MORE. NIB-RCA TYPE 83 FULL WAVE, BLACK PLATE RECTIFIER TUBE. FOR USE IN HICKOK, TV-7 & MANY OTHER TUBE TESTERS. TV-7 TESTED NOS. Up for bids is a NIB, NOS testing RCA Radiotron type 83 rectifier tube. The type 83 is a full wave rectifier tube commonly associated with use in Hickok manufactured and/or Hickok designed tube testers including the TV-7, its variants and the well-known Hickok 530, 600, 800 and 6000 series of tube testers. It has a production date code of 59-39 indicating it was made in September 1959. The tube carton top flaps are loose and are taped to the carton. This 83 rectifier tube was tested on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester for shorts and emission. The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) for each plate of the type 83 tube is 40. This tube tested at: Plate 1 = 62 Plate 2 = 60 This NIB RCA 83 will be shipped in its tube carton, double bubble wrapped and carefully packed to insure safe delivery.
