If you have ever looked thru any of my items then you know, I buy most of my items at estate sales or estate auctions. I know it's been over a year ago that I bought this register at an estate sale. It was on a table and the box was opened so you could see inside and know the register was brand new. It was still in the plastic bag with the little piece of tape that keep the bag closed, so I bought it. At that time I had a antique booth at a local antique mall. I knew a lot of small business owners came thru there so my plans was to put it in my booth. I was just going to sit it on top of the box and have it out so buyers could test it. I remember getting it out of the box and sure enough, it is brand new. I didn't have any paper for it at the time so I decided to just put it back in the box until I could get a roll of paper then take it to my booth. I didn't put it back in the plastic bag since I was going to display it. Shortly after that, I decided to move out of the mall, I just didn't have the time to work it. Anyway, all the items I had put aside to take there, I just started listing them on ebay. I get the register out of the box, I now have a roll of paper and guess what, no keys. The only thing I could figure was the keys was in that plastic bag and I threw the bag away. That or someone took the keys out or they dropped them out of the box moving it around at the estate sale. Either way, I had no keys. I found a key that would open the drawer but I certainly didn't have a register key. Well, it's took me 8 months to get a key but I finally got a seller with 2 keys to sell me 1 of the keys and that's my story and I'm sticking to it...LOL. I know the register is brand new. I only have 1 key for the drawer and 1 register key and these came with 2. As you can see, it does work. I didn't go thru the setup because the directions say to put batteries in it but the display that's on it is the one the directions say will appear when you plug it up.
