This auction is for a Nice A & D Company Ltd, HR-200 Analytical Balance / Scales 0.1mg resolution. This unit is in really nice shape and had been semi tested. I don't know a lot about these scales, but have sold one before for the same price I am starting this auction out at. In my honest opinion, this unit is MUCH nicer. I did clean up the glass a little bit, since it had some splash drops on surface inside. There is a little dust/dirt here and there, but didn't want to disassemble just to get a few spots behind the glass where it doesn't slide out all the way because of the stops on the glass. This one functions just the same as the other unit I sold. I set the scale to grams, zeroed it out so that it came up with all zeroes, and then put a nickel on the scale. I know from being a numismatist that a U.S. nickel weighs approximately 5 grams. When I put the nickel on the scale, it did measure 5.0xxxx grams, and not all nickels are exactly 5 grams, so this shows that it does measure correctly. It did have an old calibration sticker that was taken off, and it was to be re calibrated in September of 2013. Should be good, but just wanted to let you know. There is a level bubble on the very back, and has two adjustable legs on the bottom front so you can level the scale. I balanced it once, and it worked fine. Comes complete with its original power supply. When first turned on, it shows all the icons that are on the digital display. Very nice unit. Check others prices and you will come back. No international shipping due to length of travel, precision of equipment, and unruly handlers of packages. Scale and scale ring were taken off when taking pictures of bottom of unit.
