This ball muffler is specifically designed for hit & miss gas engines that use a 1 1/4" pipe thread for the exhaust. It is a perfect fit for engines like Grey, Termaat & Monahan Co. LaCross, Sta Rite, United, Galloway, Associated, etc. It can also be used with Wisconsin Bailer engines, IHC M 1 1/2, 1 1/2 & 3 Hp John Deere and any other engine that uses a 1 1/4" Npt for the exhaust. The 7" diameter and 4 1/4" tall 1 1/4" pipe thread make it easy to install on your engine and use. These are new, cast iron castings that have been poured professionally in a foundry, drilled and threaded on a lathe, then bolted together with 5/16" square bolts, nuts and thin washers. These reproduction mufflers are highly detailed and well-made. They give your engine that distinct look of early hit & miss engines and have a mellow sound when running. This makes it a perfect addition to any engine restoration project. Since mufflers like this are hard to find, owning an original part like this is a great opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.
