At BIN price (1/3rd of new), I am offering a nicely working Sencore LC76 Porta Zmeter, an autoranging digital capacitance & inductance meter. It includes the PA251 AC adapter. There is no (optional) BY234 12V 2AH sealed lead-acid rechargeable battery, and most BY234 batteries are getting old enough to no longer hold a charge. The charger is for 115V. It has no 230V switch, so in 230V countries you would either use a small stepdown transformer or find an adapter that could supply 17Vdc at 1A. If you offer less than BIN, I will not include the PA251 AC adapter. I do not have the Sencore 39G219 BNC to EZ hooks probe, but some can be found on ebay (or at least aftermarket substitutes). I do not have the book, but abbreviated instructions are included in its bottom slide tray. LC76 is a successor to LC53 and LC75. These 2 could only climb to 600Vdc for testing leakage, whereas LC76 can go to 1KV. LC76 could operate on battery, previous 2 could not. LC53 lacked ESR test. LC76 covers cap range of 1pF to 200000uF and inductance range of 1uH to 10H. There is also a built-in ringer for testing Q of coils. Sencore considers that coils that damp out oscillations after only 10 (or fewer) cycles, must have a shorted turn (or just be bad), whereas those that sustain 10 (or more) rings are good. This model was succeeded by LC102 and LC103 which cost more, added dielectric absorption test, more leakage test voltages, and easier pass/fail decision making for cap leakage limits. First photo shows LC76 reading the value of a GenRad 1000pF standard cap (not part of this sale) as 980pF, which is fairly close, considering last cal may have been 20+ years ago at Sencore. Photos are of actual LC76 you'll get. I tried several other caps and coils, giving me confidence in its accuracy, though I can't formally cal this item (like I do scopes). If you need it calibrated, I can recommend some labs that can do it (not sure Sencore still offers to). California buyers pay sales tax. I leave feedback after you do. I ship worldwide.
