NATIONAL INSTRUMENT SERVICE CORP is offering a Nidek/Marco ARK-900 Auto Ref/Keratometer, Autorefractor Keratometer suitable for any Ophthalmology or Optometrist.  Pictures shown in this auction are actual pictures of the instrument.  This unit was bought as a lot so I have no history of this unit. I am not an expert on this unit so you are buying this item as is.  I did observe the following when turning it on: -         unit turns on and screen goes on as well -         when moving anything in front of the camera the image is visible on the screen and very sharp so the camera and screen is working fine -         unit is in a nice cosmetic condition with just a few very minor scratches -         we have no printing paper, so we can only tell you that the printer module is installed (as seen on photos) -         all of the buttons seem to respond when pressed -         when rotating the joystick the elevation is very smooth and works up and down -         when joystick is pressed the machine tries to focus and takes readings -         chin elevation moves very smoothly as the knob is turned -         machine may need cleaning for it was dusty when purchased The ARK-900 incorporates many impressive features such as Marco’s exclusive Advanced Refraction Logic, Averaged multiple readings, Automatic binocular P.D. measurement, and calculation for near PD., as well as a mode for monocular P.D. and corneal diameter measurements. An electronic joystick elevation controls makes alignment and focusing a simple and fast one-handed operation.    The instrument can be used separately as an auto refractor, keratometer, or both simultaneously. All functions are conveniently displayed on a monitor with the patient data appearing on a single printout.
