The reversible bottom board is made from tongue and groove pine with one side providing a 3/4" entrance and the other side providing a 3/8" entrance. An entrance reducer is included. This hive is made in the United States and ships unassembled, saving on shipping costs. All you need to do is provide nails or screws for assembly. Each deep box comes with 10 frames of black Acorn Brand frames with wax-coated foundation, while the medium box comes with 10 white Acorn brand plastic frames that are also wax-coated. The lid is made from heavy, weatherproof 3/8" plywood covered with .019 white aluminum and has a 3" wide skirt with rabbeted corners. The raised panel inner cover has a 1/8" recess on one side and 3/8" on the other and comes with a bee escape. This Langstroth 10 frame bee hive kit is everything you need to get started. It includes two deep boxes and one medium box for brood or honey collection. The boxes are made from pine and are designed with finger joint style corners. The boxes come unassembled, but assembly instructions can easily be found online. The kit also includes a top telescoping cover, solid bottom board, inner cover, and entrance reducer.
