I have provided a video of calibrating this IT-121. The Tester is accurately calibrated. I have provided a video of a Transistor Test of a 2SC945. I have provided a Video of the Battery Test Function of this tester. This is a Heathkit IT-121 that was built by someone years ago but was not put into service. I found that the original builder did not complete ONE connection. It is obvious that the original builder failed to make the connection, could not figure out why the unit did NOT work and put it away in the original box. (The Missing Connection was behind another connection and thus the step was missed) I completed this connection and the tester now works. The new owner will be able to see the new white lead in place. There are Zero Hours on the meter and circuitry other than my tests. It was stored away in its original Box, inside the original Plastic bags, for many years in a pristine environment in storage. The Bottom Cover Still remains in the sealed bag and I will keep it sealed for the new owner to open it. I made a Set of High Quality Test Probes with Pomona Mini Grabbers. Originally, these testers came with Alligator Clips which are bulky and dangerous to use because they can cause shorts. The Pomona Mini Grabbers are the Modern way to test transistors and are vastly safer to use. Each Banana plug & Mini Grabber is color coded to the original Color code. I am providing a 3 Page Instruction Manual that I wrote that is a Work-Flow-Improvement over the somewhat unclear Heathkit Manual. The Write-up is shown in the 1st PIC. The Heathkit IT-121 Manual is available online for free. The Tester is in Minty Cosmetic Condition. The Meter Crystal face is Perfect. The Black Lower Meter Sticker is not attached, it is included in the auction and is shown in the 1st PIC. The soldering work done on the unit looks to be of high quality. You will need to supply your own #6 Sheet Metal Screws. It was built by someone who took the care to label components with a Dymo Label Maker, please see inside PIC. The Original Box is old and not in good shape but at least you will have confidence that the tester was stored in this box since it was purchased and worked on. That is why the tester is in mint shape. Batteries are Included. They are new and were used to test this tester and to provide the Videos. They are High-Quality Energizer. This is for the hobbyist who does not mind working on things. In fact that is the joy. I cannot guarantee that it is in fully functional condition and may need more work - after all, it is a HEATH KIT. Everything I have tried works excellent.
