This Sale is for One Beautiful NOS (New Old Stock) STARRETT USA, No. 244-4 End Measuring Rod, Length 4". Starrett Prescision End Measuring Rods are designed for precison settings on jig borers and other machine tools where spacing and table locations must be held to a high degree of accuacy. Starrett states that the end measuring rod is made of the finest tool steel with raised conscentric sections or collars of 5/8" diameter which fit in the grove of the machine tool. The raised sections are hardended and precision ground concentric, parallel, and square with contact faces which are precison ground and lapped. The rod has a Satin Chrome finish.
