Jones & Lamson Optical Comparator Tungsten Halogen Projection Retrofit - Convert to Tungsten From Original Mercury Arc System Manufactured by Vermont Precision Products - An OEM, J&L Metrology, Jones & Lamson CERTIFIED manufacturing facility in Springfield, VT Why buy from others when you can buy from the OEM! Vermont Precision Products is offering an OEM manufactured tungsten lamp retrofit for replacing the original Jones & Lamson mercury arc projection system. This retrofit converts original J&L comparators that use SAH-250B, 250W mercury arc bulb, to the more cost effective tungsten halogen projection lamp system. The tungsten lamp retrofit is a 250W system, that uses a 24V/250W tungsten halogen bulb. The system is available in (2) types, a box style power supply or a panel mounted power supply. J&L Metrology comparators that were built with the mercury arc projection option came in (2) different setups. Most power supply's were mounted in a rectangular box (approx. 25" x 8" x 8") like the one pictured above. J&L also built machines that had the mercury arc power supply mounted on an electrical panel inside the electrical door on the side of the machine. Both versions are available and are quick and easy to install. If you are not sure which type you have, contact J&L Metrology with your machine serial number and we can determine which type you have.
