This is an unfinished project, but investment at time of project abandonment (2011) was about $7500, not including labor. The rust is superficial. This is an Ofeldt boiler - 15 (150 psi) - 40 hp (600 psi) with a 360 psi feedwater pump, pump driving motor, and stainless 316 2" steam valve as well as a spiraling 304 stainless preheating economizer (first photo). Firing with a multi-port cast iron burner was intended, the burner has been lost or misplaced, all other essential elements are here. The boiler was constructed in accordance with the plans shown in photo 2, was stress relieved (construction phase photo shown - reference the kiln behind the 3 mad scientists) according to the plans, and passed hydro in accordance with ASME Section 1 (also construction phase photo shown). The boiler has had no NDT performed and has never seen service, maybe you can finish this project at substantial savings.
