This packing height gauge can be used on either a sheet-fed or web offset printing press on either a plate or blanket cylinder.  As you can see from the pictures this packing gauge is like new with very little use. Come with carrying case and foam padding for protection.This packing gauge is a must have for any print shop. Aluminum base which fits any size cylinder and a Starrett +/- .050" gauge (see pictures). Measuring resolution of .001". Users guide included. Proper packing of the blanket or plate cylinders is essential for good printing. You can check the height of either the blanket or plate quickly and easily to determine if it is packed correctly. Position gauge on blanket or plate cylinder. Relocate the gauge with indicator centered on the bearer. Indicator calibrated to .001” will give the blanket or plate height relative to bearer.
