This is a really nice original Dixie H1 single cylinder magneto.  These were used on several early motorcycles possibly including Harley Davidson and Indian.  It may also have had applications in the early hit and miss gas engine world as well as some early single cylinder cars.  It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.   It has very little noticeable wear in the bearings and turns over smoothly with excellent magnetic pull.  The points and everything inside the housing seem to be in great shape.  It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is set up properly.  It is clockwise rotation and even has the original leadout on it.  The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in good shape.  It has the original points cover which is almost always missing or broken.  It has a 22 tooth gear on it.  The advance/retard lever is stuck but I think with a little patience it would free up.   This is one of the nicest magnetos like this I have ever run across so if you need it for a restoration or for a project don't miss it!  It would even make a great spare on the shelf!  This is a VERY hard to find magneto because it is so early so don't miss your chance on it. The pictures tell the story.  You won't be disappointed in any way.  I can be reached at 262-573-1931 if you'd like to talk about it.  Good Luck.
