This is a really nice original Fairbanks Morse Model R rotary high tension magneto for a hit and miss gas engine.  It was used on the spark plug fired Model Z engines and possibly others.  It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind.    It mounts with two holes 3 3/4 inches apart on center.   Everything turns over very nicely with very little wear in the bearings.   This magneto puts out a HOT, fat, blue spark that jumps an incredible gap!   It will surely run your engine if it is set up properly.  It even has the original leadout on it and it is in good condition.  It currently has a 25 tooth gear on it and the impulse bracket so I think it is for a 1 1/2hp Z engine.  This gear could be changed to suit your application if you so choose.  Everything on this impulse setup works as it should.   If you've been looking for one here's your chance.  It  is ready to go to work on an engine or would also be a good spare on the shelf.  They don't come along very often in this condition so don't miss it.  The pictures tell the story.  You won't be disappointed in any way.   Good Luck.
