Old Scarce Miniature Model Edison Ediphone Voicewriter Dictaphone Pro-technic

US $240

This listing is for a miniature or model version of the Edison Pro-Technic Ediphone. Although it is quite detailed it is not a working model. Overall height is only 6 1/2". Width at widest point of base is about 3 1/4". Depth at base is 2 7/8". Body of cabinet is somewhat smaller due to the tapered style of the legs. Overall condition is quite good but there are a few spots where the paint is missing particularly on the mouth piece, there is a slight dent on the right hand side as shown in the photos and the rubber sleeve on the spindle is checked and has a piece missing. Nothing appears to be missing. Color is dark green, kind of olive drab. Construction is primarily die cast metal and sheet metal with other materials. Recording mechanism is designed to slide forward and backward. Reproducer will slide from side to side but is not designed to be functional. On the underside of the lid is the word EDIPHONE. On the bottom of the cabinet is a paper label with the number 287. Cabinet base has a front opening, bottom hinged door that exposes 8 recording cylinders, all affixed in place. I've researched the pants off this thing and have not been able to find another or anything remotely similar so I'm guessing that they're not real common. Free shipping is for continental 48 states only. All others at actual cost. If you have questions, please ask away. I'm a pretty reasonable guy.
