I have a very nice Oliver 144 8" jointer I am selling.  I stripped and repainted all the castings with industrial direct to metal paint, color matched to Oliver's last green color.  Paint job was sprayed on so it looks nice and even without drips and brush strokes. Eagle badge is in tact and in excellent condition.  All knobs are original and in excellent condition (not rusty, bent or stripped).  Some bolts were replaced with stainless steel.  It has a direct drive 1hp, 3ph motor that runs the custom Byrd Shelix cutter head. Original cutter head and gibs are included. Motor was serviced and re-insulated at Mac and Mac Electric in Bellingham, WA. Tables and fence are flat and true, without twist or warp, in original factory condition (not ground with a blanchard grinder).  A Teco Westinghouse VFD is included so that 220v single phase will run the machine (plug and play). There are no crack or repairs to the castings, castings are 100% perfect.  This is a truly sweet jointer, a pleasure to use and a nice example of early Oliver machining.  Heavy cast iron combined with the Shelix cutter head it is impossible to find a nicer jointer.  Here is your chance to own a great piece of American machine history in perfectly functional and pleasurable operating condition!   Buyer Pays freight, I will pallet it and crate it at no fee.  Zip code for freight is 98248, it is a commercial business address with forklift available (no the jointer has not been used commercially and I am not a machine dealer).  Expected weight is 750 lbs after pallet and crating.  Cheers BTW  White spots in the base in picture 1 are from the picture and are NOT scratches in the base.
