*FULLY WARRANTIED BY SELLER - *peace of mind guaranteed with 30 days money back. Olympus IF type 8D3-20 (s/n2500021) Borescope. This has a fairly long reach - the length is ~ 6' for the viewing tube and ~5' for the light tube, the diameter is ~1/4"for the viewing tube and ~5/16" for the light tube end. Cosmetic condition: The pictures should show the external conditions, call or email if there is any question. A light source is not included - the illumination photograph was made with just a flashlight as a light source. Neither the viewing or illumination tubes have any crushed or badly distorted areas - there are a few frayed braids in the flexible tip area. Functional condition: The tip up /down and side / side deflections are ~45 degrees, some slightly less and some slightly more. The locking functions are ok. The image clarity is good - there are fairly few broken fibers and they are quite 'spread out' - one of the pictures (as clear as we can make it) is meant to show the actual 'black dots'. That picture should also show a sort of a 'curved / tapered / dark shadow line' going across the image, upper left to lower right - it is light and we don't think it would cause any operational problems (it is not a 'broken fiber' sort of thing - we cannot explain it). The picture was taken of a sheet of lined paper illuminated by a flashlight - the upper left lighter area and the lower right darker area are caused by the uneven flashlight beam and a shadow on it. The illumination and focusing are good - we can focus on a part of one letter in a newspaper or the house across the street. The case is good. Surplus to a local aerospace companies needs.
