Spring has finally sprung and our ladies are laying everyday.  We have three toms covering 18 hens, so we are confident in our fertility.  Our Toms are unrelated to our hens.  We sell hatching eggs and poults to the local market as well.   Myself and my oldest son are certified NPIP pullorum testers for the State of Maine tested and certified by the Maine State Veterinarian.   While we do not certify our own flock (the State Vet has to observe us when testing our own birds), we do test other poultry owners in Maine. Part of our training is bio-security and hygienic issue correction.  All important facets when dealing with large flocks of birds. The good news for Maine is that the state is currently devoid of both pullorum infections and the Avian Bird Flu.  A status aggressively maintained by careful and thorough poultry testing. Our Bourbon Red Turkeys represent our only breed of Turkey.  It is a heritage breed and an excellent eating bird.  Our flock is just over two years old and in top condition.  They nest and roost in a very large pen inside our poultry barn.  We are just about ready to let them outdoors to run in an enclosed 50' X 150' netted pen.  Gonna give the clover another few weeks to get going good.  Our eggs are gathered fresh daily and wiped clean if necessary.  So, you will receive clean, fresh, disease-free, and fertile eggs to get your own flock started.   This is a one day auction and your eggs will ship immediately after payment. We sold a couple of gross of hatching turkey eggs last year with great results and satisfied customers.  Your eggs will be very well packaged.  Bon chance!  Yes, the pictures of our birds/eggs here on the farm! *** IMPORTANT:  We mail each parcel insured for $50.00.  Egg breakage, while not common, does happen.  If your box gets crushed, please make an immediate claim at your local post office.  It is unfair to have us pay for their negligence when it occurs.  We appreciate your business and know you understand.
