So I got this from an older Agema Thermal Camera Setup, and it's a mirror about the size of a dime I guess, mounted on a thin pole with a motor below it and a sensor or laser behind it. Someone is bound to know what it is so I'll leave it at that.  The mirror has only a couple of light hairline sized scratches from what I can tell, and if the unit ends up not working the buyer can return it.
