Designed to IP 65 standards, the PHL8000 series can withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters onto concrete. The terminals have a user-friendly design with a graphic LCD display and a backlight keypad that offers clear visibility in any lighting condition. The keypad comes in two variations, alphanumeric and full keypad, with non-erasable keys available. Additionally, the series offers two scan engine options, a barcode laser scanner, and a 2D CMOS imager. The PHL8000 series has a high-performance processor and comes with a 2200mAh battery (or high-capacity 4000mAh battery) that enables heavy application usage. Also, this series provides a broad range of accessories and optional functionalities that help to enhance its usability. The Opticon PHL8112 is a ruggedized device that comes equipped with an integrated 1D scan engine and a vibrant 3.5-inch TFT display. This device also features an alphanumeric keypad and offers wireless communication through Bluetooth and WLAN. The PHL8112 belongs to the PHL8000 series, which is a collection of PDA-like terminals designed for tough environments. These terminals come standard with Windows CE 5.0 and provide multiple wireless communication options, including WLAN and Bluetooth. Some models also come with GPRS and EDGE, and the serial connector offers additional communication capabilities.
