1946 Model Compound Steam Engine Article An Original Six-Page how-to article that was removed from a vintage magazine.  Castings are required. Excerpt:  "The model shown in the photo can be used as a stationary steam power plant.  It makes an efficient marine steam engine when installed in a model boat of 4 or 5 feet in over-all length.  With a boiler supplying plenty of moderately superheated steam at 50 pounds pressure, the engine will turnover at better than 1,100 r.p.m., developing approximately 1/8 hp. for long sustained runs."
