An Exceptional and an original MAX. Built to last, the San Jose built MAX sanders are Considered to be the best of all versions. It’s basically “new used”.. We cleaned it up and added the high quality KB electronics speed control. With a a big disc this is a great feature. Slow down for heat sensitive materials like plastics, aluminum, etc. This is a very late San Jose Max with the dust chute side hook up for dust collection. The older units had front exits. The platen is like new with an unworn outside corner, important for pattern makers. Disc sanders that have been used in metal fab shops usually have badly rounded corners. The table is in mint condition. Currently, Tannewitz builds new copies with imported parts, special order for $ 31,000 FOB. The versatility and quality of the original San Jose built Max disc sanders is unparalleled. From pattern makers, furniture shops, metal shops and even legendary guitar maker Gibson, which has multiple MAX machines shaping guitar bodies in their factory, Max products are the obvious choice. Our business is primarily machined castings and we have multiple, original MAX products currently in use in our shops. All are 40 plus years old and still running strong. This Max 30" has been rebuilt with new: Baldor 3 phase, 3 hp 230 volt motor wiring drive belts KB Electronics VFD, choose between 3 phase or single phase input KB VFD. We will set it up either way. fasteners Labor: The Max was fully disassembled, all parts were cleaned, inspected and replaced if necessary. This machine had no worn parts other than a bad motor. All painted parts were sandblasted, epoxy primed and painted with Max green. Disc sanders can be very dangerous to operate and must be used with caution. Vintage Engineering is offering this machine under the condition that we are indemnified of any and all liability against personal injury and any property damage. Buyers / users operate this machine at their own risk. There is no warranty on this machine, but you are welcome to come by and check it out. Machine is sold as and there are no returns. We can deliver within a 600 mile radius from Minden for additional cost, per mile. Please contact us regarding shipping prior to pushing the buy it now.
