This is a real nice original Splitdorf or Dixie 46-T four cylinder base mount magneto.  These were standard equipment on many early four cylinder tractors, cars, and trucks.  They were also an option for International Harvester or McCormick Deering tractors.  It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern with excellent mounting threads and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the break on the points housing.  This doesn't affect its performance an could easily be switched out with a good one.  It is clockwise rotation and turns over nicely with excellent magnetic pull.  The impulse works perfectly and seems to have very little wear.  This magneto puts out a nice, fat, blue spark that is sure to run your tractor if it is set up properly.  It has no noticeable wear in the bearings.  These original Dixie magnetos are extremely tough to find and they usually require several hundred dollars worth of repair work.  Not this one.  It has two of the original wire nuts on the terminals but one is a bit chipped up.  These are available from several of the hobby suppliers quite inexpensively.  It's hard to find original magnetos in this condition and the pictures tell the story.  You won't be disappointed in any way.  Good Luck.
