Up for sale is a rare vintage U.S. Forest Service (USFS) water canteen banjo. On one side is says "USFS". I got it while working in the forest service from 2001-2011.'this canteen would be from the 1950's-1970's. It got decommissioned in the 2000's. This water canteen is made of metal covered with canvas. The lid looks like it may be made of tin like the old canning jar lids and still screws on tightly with good seal. It is in good condition. The strap is made of canvas and is fitted around the outside of the canteen with about a 24" drop. There is some wear to the strap as shown in the photos.
