Weighing only 11 kg (24 lbs.), and equipped with a convenient carrying handle, the 480E is suitable for both hospital and home use. Range of motion is adjustable from -5° extension to 120° flexion. An optional pediatric accessory makes the device suitable for children A convenient and easy to use motion controller contains several advanced treatment features, including a warm-up feature which, when selected, starts the patient at a reduced range of motion and gradually increases the range until the programmed setting is reached. A pause feature enhances treatment, especially in preventing the formation of contractures and intra-articular adhesions, by holding the limb in sustained flexion or extension for up to 30 seconds. For safety, the 480E is equipped with a reverse-on-load feature to reverse the direction of travel should the patient resist motion, or if motion is obstructed.
