UPDATED!!!! Up for auction is these two (qty-2) approx. 19 inches each vintage brass welding torches. In the first photo - the top torch is an oxweld and the bottom is a purox ... Both are Linde brands owned by Union Carbide Corp. the name plates are missing or worn off. My ex-husband told me what they were since he used to rebuild these types of torches. The handle on the one with the silver looking trigger is dented, but could be banged out. the valve on this one is crooked too, but this also can be bent back into shape. The other one with the locking trigger has a number stamped, "C4303612 "M.P" The valves on both move freely. I do not know what all this means...however, if you are looking at this auction you know more than I do. I am told that after rebuild, these types of torches bring in a nice buck. These types of torches are re-buildable again and again from what I am told. This item is priced right. I have tried to describe this item the best that I could with help from my son and a couple other resources. This item shows wear. The valves move freely. This item is untested, my son took the pictures for me and he used to rebuild these torches with his father in Indiana for the salvage yards and other companies in Fort Wayne. He said these types of torches are very collectable and still widely used today and that you should rebuild this torch and buff it real nice, then test it after that before you use it. The rubber gaskets wear out or get dry rotted if it sits for a long time. Terms of sale; Payment is due within 3 days of auction's close. World wide Shipping!!!!
