READ BEFORE BIDDING! This motor is one of the most unusual I have ever seen, it has a long nose covering the shaft with a lock nut on top and exposed access on the bottom. It was probably designed for a specific purpose but I do not know what. If the long nose is in the way you could cut it off but the shaft does not stick out very far. I am not sure exactly how old this motor is but I believe it is before 1952 because of the body design (the middle if just a rounded piece of steel) and the base screws directly into the motor rather than the body of it. It is a very unique looking motor. It is by Packard General Motors Company of Ohio. Please use pictures to judge the cosmetic condition. If you know why the motor was designed like this let me know for the sake of my curiosity. This motor is 1/3 HP 5.5 Amps 115 Volts 3450 RPMS 60 Cycles Model number S 7366 The shaft is about 15.87 MM (it is hard to get an accurate measurement). The reason this motor is being sold in seller restored condition is because when I got it the case was rusty and it did not work. I sanded it (lightly) most of the rust of a spray painted it (not the best paint job in the world) with a high grade spray paint that stops rust. The wires inside are old cloth wires but they did not need changed out. Motor was locked up because of its age but it now spins at a fast 3450 RPMS which is much faster than the standard 1700 RPMS and it has somewhat of a roar to it. If you take this motor apart be careful, if the back and front are not centered it will not run. I do not know if it is safe to reverse the direction of the motor or not, some of the old ones were not designed to be reversed.
