Up for sale is a pair of vintage laboratory glass tubular thermometers in a fitted and padded blackened steel case. One thermometer is slightly thinner than the other.** These thermometers have 2 gradients in each. The larger thermometer shows a scale from 39 to 51, with another 2 sided scale in Fahrenheit measurements from 0 to 140. The thinner thermometer has a scale from 29-45 with gradients from 0-130 in the main chamber as shown. Handwritten in red ink are the numbers 220771 in one thermometer and 222318 in the other thermometer. There is a notation in each: "The correct figures here given are only approximate: for true corrections consult Bureau of Standards Circular No. C410, "National Standard Petroleum Oil Tables. Made in the U.S.A." The maker is The Western Machinery Co. of Wichita, Kansas.
