FOR SALE: PAN ABODE WESTERN RED CEDAR HOME KIT. The Pan Abode Classic Timber Building System is a solid Western Red Cedar milled log product. Assembly is an easy tongue & groove, limited-fastener assembly method. This is a kit designed for anyone to build himself, or an easy build for someone with construction experience. Kit is for building shell only– exterior walls, windows, doors, fascia, trim, etc. The two-story home is designed to finish approximately 1600 square feet with 2 bedrooms, studio/office, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, utility room and more. The kit is in very good condition, securely stored indoors in northern New York State. Important note: You will be responsible for coordinating shipment of this kit from Turin, NY 13473. This kit is PAN ABODE's CLASSIC TIMBER BUILDING SYSTEM: The original PAN ABODE timber wall building system, designed by a Danish cabinet maker who wanted to create a home that was as finely put together as the exquisite cabinets he created. Since 1952 PAN ABODE has manufactured this patented interlocking notch that allows precision milled wall timbers to connect at 90 degrees and create a locked-in-place joint. Corner Timber "stubs" are visible from the exterior of the building, and on interior walls (see images), a very decorative and attractive feature of this building system. The Classic Timber Building System features air-dried solid-sawn timbers of Western Red Cedar to create a timeless look of natural beauty. Striking contemporary design featuring architectural details that showcase the beauty, warmth and function of Pan Abode's premium, natural materials. The dimensional horizontal timber walls--both exterior and interior--terminate in decorative vertical columns of precision European “locked-in-place” joinery patented by Pan Abode. Several of the images show this attractive detail. Structural kit includes solid, full volume Western Red Cedar timber and Douglas Fir floor and roof beams. The exposed floor and roof system design is solid 4x10 and 4x12 Doug Fir, and Glulam beams where appropriate. Wall System: Wall Timbers are solid Air-Dried Western Red Cedar, Select Knot (SK) precision milled on four sides to create a tongue & groove connection. The 4 X 6 wall timbers are precision end cut to exact length, notched to create the locking joints at corners. Materials are marked/labeled and ready for on-site assembly. Assembly manual with complete instructions is included with the kit. Note this kit features the 4" exterior wall timbers, not the 3” offered in less expensive PAN ABODE kits. Wall timbers are also appearance graded for exposure of the two faces. Windows: gorgeous cedar triple-pane windows with cedar trim. Closets: oodles of closet storage, louvered bi-fold Western Hemlock doors, cedar trim. Doors: All doors except for closets are solid Western Red Cedar, cedar trim. Trim Package King-posted extended gables with beautiful trapezoid glazing. Convenient footprint complements a small site, or integrates organically in a larger rural or even wooded location beautifully. Images shown depict actual kit offered for sale.
