Panasonic BB-HCM403A Indoor Network Dome Camera with Microphone, SD Card Slot and PoE - 12 VDC (Adaptor Not Included) The Panasonic BB-HCM403A is an aesthetically designed dome camera, offering an effective solution for commercial or residential applications requiring high resolution video monitoring over a network. Images captured with this camera can be viewed from virtually anywhere simply by entering this camera's free assigned IP address name into a Windows browser using a PC or even a compatible cell phone or PDA device. A remote Internet user can also with the click of a mouse activate this camera's motorized pan and tilt functions to point the lens any direction while using its 10x digital zoom to bring an object into close view. Images can also be recorded to an optional SD card for quick retrieval and transfer to a PC. Free IP Address This camera can be assigned a free, easy to remember IP address such as bobveiwcam.com, which unlike Dynamic IP addresses stays with this camera permanently. There's also no need to install any specialized software as all the required programs are already embedded in the camera. Motorized Pan & Tilt with 10x Digital Zoom With the simple click of a mouse, a remote Internet user can activate the camera's motorized pan & tilt function to point the lens in a desired direction. The camera can also be assigned 8 preset positions plus a "Home Position" which returns the camera to its original position. A user can also scroll the mouse to digitally magnify an image up to 10x. SD Card Slot Images can be recorded locally to an optional SD memory card. An SD card serves many functions, including quick retrieval and transfer of event footage, local image archiving and automatic image transfer at an alarm event or when triggered by an external device. Multi Camera Viewing A user over the the network can access up to 12 cameras on a single Web browser. Images are viewed by switching between 3 sets of 4 cameras or viewing all 12 cameras on a static screen. Up to 4 cameras can be viewed with full 2-way voice communication for each camera. PoE (Power over Ethernet) Ready In addition to a standard 12 VDC power input, this camera can be powered solely by its Ethernet cable when used with a PoE feeder. This allows the camera to be installed in an area inaccessible to a power outlet and will also keep the camera running in the event of a power failure.
