Iconic, worlds' most recognizable marquee. Vintage Bronze marquee from Park Ave Waldorf Astoria, New York City. This is the first Marquee to ever grace the historic Waldorf. It is also the finest, and most expensive marquee ever made. To own this is a real statement, especially since Anbang Insurance purchased the hotel and is changing it to mostly condominiums. The marquee was made by Excalibur bronze, a famous artisan company making the finest bronze worldwide. This offering consists of the following: Six shields, (3 are large and weigh 50 pounds each, 3 are small); 25 carved green glass pieces measuring 27&1/4" by 9&3/4" by 3/8" thick; 28 bronze edges measuring 26&1/2" by 4&1/4" and weighing 18 pounds each; 21 short vertical bronze uprights 22" long and weighing 19.7 pounds each; 12 long vertical bronze uprights 32" long and weighing 30 and 34 pounds each. Not all items shown in images. One of the small shields is missing. Total weight is approximately 1,800 pounds solid bronze 100%. Pick up only, no return once picked up.
