The item(s) in the listing came from a large packaging converting company. All items were kept in a climate controlled maintenance inventory stockroom. Some items were stored in their original boxes, and some were not. In talking to the inventory manager of the facility, he explained that in some cases, when items came in from the supplier, they were removed from the original box, tagged with their own inventory control numbers, and were then placed on the stock shelves. This was done primarily due to “space limitations”, as leaving an item in the box can take up so much more room on a shelf than an “un-boxed” item does. Over the next several months, we will be listing thousands of industrial items that we acquire from this packaging converting company. They had built a new facility and closed its doors at the previous location. This company remains a worldwide leader in packaging and print technologies in consumer food and non-food industries. The facility they closed was huge, (nearly 800,000 square feet) and had a workforce of over 350 workers. The new facility is even larger (over 1 million square feet) and now employs over 500 workers. With all new machinery installed at the new location, the decision was made to liquidate the remaining parts and pieces of the maintenance departments’ “store room”……… and we were fortunate enough to be able to purchase the majority of the items. We pack all packages as if they were fragile and going through a war zone, yet still the USPS seems to find a way to damage our packages on occasion.
