5 each Patternmaker's Shrink Rules All are 1 ft. long. 1 Pratt and Whitney 1/10" inch to the foot shrinkage (Stamped with some previous owner's initials RO) 1 Starrett #375 3/16" to the foot shrinkage 1 Lufkin #83H 5/16" to the foot shrinkage (Stamped with some previous owner's initials RO) 1 Starrett #C389 5/32" to the foot shrinkage (Stamped with some previous owner's initials RO) 1 Lufkin #83T 9/32" to the foot shrinkage I have been doing foundry work for over 40 years, and it is finally time to clean house a little. I am selling off duplicate and unneeded shrink rules that I have accumulated over the years. All of these are high quality, with the Starrets and Pratt and Whitney brands being premium. Lufkin is also good, but not in a class with Starrett. All are completely legible. These are used in pattern-making. When you make a pattern out of wood (Or any other material) you build it using the shrink rule appropriate for the metal you are casting. The result is a perfect casting to the correct size, without having to calculate every dimension. It makes pattern-work much easier and faster. Do NOT pay after winning the bidding.
