This unit includes a processor module, a barcode reader, a power adapter, and a data cable. The barcode reader has an index finger trigger whose rubber cover is torn. The processor module has three indicator LEDs on the front labelled "read ok", "set up" and "power". On the front is a round female 6-pin connector; a short adapter cable is included that converts this into a 9-pin female D connector, which connects to the scanner cable. On the back is a DC power connector, a male 9-pin D connector labelled "RS 232", a round female 7-pin connector labelled "magnetic", and a 25-pin female D connector labelled "keyboard interface". A cable is included with a male 25-pin D connector on one end that splits into two round 8-pin connectors, one male and one female. When plugged in and turned on the unit beeps and its power indicator LED comes on. When the reader was placed over a bar code and the trigger button pressed, it beeped again and the "read ok" light came on. Lacking any software for this unit, no further testing was performed.
