The Mako 6500-E is specially built with the PCI DSS in mind, allowing businesses to quickly and easily lock down computer and payment networks. The Mako 6500-E is an award-winning network security appliance for small sites and businesses that access the Internet via an Ethernet connection. Some models of the 6500-E also feature an additional 3G connection, allowing businesses the option to connect to the Internet using a wireless signal if an Ethernet network is not available. As an additional connection option, the Mako 6500-E is available with a 3G wireless connection, capable of being used as a ‘failover’ option in case the primary Ethernet connection goes down. The Mako 6500-E/3G will automatically switch over to use mobile data if the network connection drops, offering businesses continuity in the case of unexpected interruptions. In areas where Ethernet connections are not available, or in remote locations, 3G can also be set as the primary connection method.
