Pennwalt Jelenko Model Tru-Fire VPF Vacuum Porcelain Furnace PLEASE READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION     By bidding on this item you accept the terms stated below. Up for auction is a used Pennwalt Jelenko Model Tru-Fire VPF Vacuum Porcelain Furnace.  This furnace is in good overall cosmetic condition with a few small marks from normal lab use.  Please refer to the pictures provided below for more details on the condition of the item. We were able to power the furnace on by using the included 110VAC power cable.  After power up the VPF returned an alarm "AL-4".  We have found that this alarm indicates a low vacuum.  This furnace was not tested with a vacuum unit.  We were however able to silence the alarm and use the control buttons to raise and lower the crucible platform.  The interior elements heated up to red hot as the crucible was lifted up.  All control buttons scrolled through the settings and looked to be working as they should.   We are unable to test this unit further.  This item was purchased from surplus.  We see no outward reason that it will not function fully.  However, given that the we cannot fully test it, this device will be sold as-is.  We guarantee this device to only perform as we have described.  We will not accept returns for this auction if it does not work to your satisfaction.  By bidding on this auction, you are taking the risk that the item may not work.  Only those items shown in the photos will be included in the auction.
