Perlick Growler/bottle Filler Complement Set - Counter Pressure Filler Kit

I sell a kit called the Complement, that allows you to counter pressure bottle fill direct from your kegerator or keezer tap. This kit pairs up with an insertion bottler for Perlick 525SS and 575SS faucets, such as the defunct but effective Bowie Bottler, or the Ontario Bottler sold here on eBay under item number 320896717175 by a classy fellow from Ontario, Canada. The Ontario Bottler comes with a super low grade section of 5/16" ID tubing which is fine for filling growlers that are going to be served immediately. However, if you prefer your beer to not taste like a wet paper grocery bag as you oxidize the crap out of it while you fill without a stopper, and you'd like it to stay carbonated for more than a day or so, then the Complement is the kit for you. This kit also works with other sellers' nipples on ebay like Homebewstuff (item # 140917067903), as they are the same one that Ontario sells. In fact, this kit is produced by Perlick and is sold by many homebrew shops online. Just google "growler filler for Perlick" and a number of shops are selling it. Rebel Brewer also sells other nipples that the Complement is indeed compatible with. If you are unsure of compatibility, just email me and I will look into it for you. Hundreds of people on Homebrewtalk.com have spoken highly of the Complement and the medals they have won in beer competitions using it to fill their entries. Search it out for yourself. You'll see. You can see it in action on youtube if you search out jakecpunut's bottling wand video. He is using the Complement in that video. He modified his with a basketball needle. You do not need to do this as burping the bottles with a quick lift of the stopper achieves the same result with a more sanitary approach. The Complement kit includes all top shelf food grade components. These are a 316 stainless steel bottling wand, 2 feet of food grade E-3603 Tygon 1/4" ID tubing by Saint Gobain, 2 white rubber food grade stoppers (one for 12/22 oz bottles, one for screw top growlers), a sack of extra red silicone o-rings for the Ontario Bottler, and first class economy shipping to any US or Canadian address. Any other country adds 10 dollars to the price but still ships first class unless you want to upgrade to Priority and pay out the ass for it. One tip that seems to be an issue for a couple of people is that it is difficult to get the Tygon tubing onto the hose barb of the insertion bottler. This is intentional as you want to maintain as small a tubing ID as possible to reduce foaming. A 5/16" ID tube will foam much more than a 3/16" ID one. This was why the Bowie Bottler worked so well as it was a 3/16" ID system throughout when coupled with the 3/16" ID Complement. All you need to do is boil some water on the stove and soak the end of the Tygon tubing in the boiling water until it softens up enough to get it on the bottler barb end. It can be a bitch to get on there, especially if you are trying to get 3/16" ID tubing onto a 5/16" barb. But it will go. You can also use a heat gun to soften the tubing but you run the risk of melting the tubing if you go this route. For the Ontario style bottlers, I specify a 1/4" ID tubing as it is the best balance of foam reduction versus user convenience. I do believe one was shipped out in May with a 3/16" ID tubing section by mistake so if you are the person who got that, email me and I will get a 1/4" section in the mail for you ASAP. The 3/16" will work, but it will be difficult to get on there. Alternatively, you can mail your nipple to me and I will install the tubing free of charge if you have bought or are buying a Complement.
