The PFERD Polifan SGP CO-COOL Abrasive Flap Disc with a Type 27 depressed center flap style and a threaded hole is a high-quality and durable product suitable for various applications, including weld dressing and surface grinding. The zirconia alumina abrasive, which is self-sharpening and more long-lasting than aluminum oxide, ensures fast material removal rates and aggressive grinding even on stainless steel. This product features cool grinding properties that enable aggressive material removal at medium contact pressure. Abrasive flap discs are crafted by attaching overlapping pieces of coated abrasive to a hub. They reduce finishing time and cost by combining grinding and finishing into one step, which makes them ideal for tasks that require removing a weld bead and smoothing the workpiece around the weld. The action of a flap disc is similar to that of a sanding disc, where the grinding and polishing occur on the face of the disc.
