New in the box comes a Philips HeartStart AED with battery, adult pads, case and wall cabinet! 5 Reasons To Buy Philips 1. Quick Shock:  The Philips Defibrillator will deliver a shock (if needed) within 10 seconds. Other AEDs take up to 3 times longer to deliver a shock. The longer the heart has been in ventricular fibrillation the harder it is to restart. 2. CPR Coaching:  Unlike other defibrillators, the Philips AED will continue to provide CPR coaching during the rescue attempt. Some AEDs are completely silent. Oftentimes in an emergency, the inexperienced rescuer may become flustered. When the AED is silent for two minutes, the rescuer can lose track of time and might not perform chest compressions quickly enough. The Philips AED provides an audible sound or “beat” for each compression, counting so that the rescuer can just focus on the victim. 3. AED recognizes your every move:  Unlike other devices, the Philips AED recognizes when the pads are removed and placed on the victim. This can be critical in the middle of a rescue – especially if the rescuer has not used an AED before. For example, the AED will instruct the rescuer to remove the pads from the device. If for some reason the rescuer does not do this, the AED will keep repeating itself until pads are removed. It will then direct the rescuer to place the pads on the patient and will repeat the instruction until the action is performed. Other devices function like a recording. They provide the actions steps; but if something is missed, the prompts simply advance to the next step. For example, the rescuer may still be performing step 1 while the AED has already advanced to later steps. SCA is a very time sensitive event which requires a quick and efficient response. 4. Muscle Impedance:  The Philips AED is the only AED that has the technology to measure muscle impedance. The device will shock with 150 joules (for adults) and 50 joules for individuals 55lbs and under (for children). This is standard for most AEDs; however, because the Philips AED has the ability to measure BMI, it adjusts the level of amps delivered depending on muscle impedance. No other AED is capable of modifying the amp level. This minimizes post event side effects caused by a shock that is too powerful, which in turn lessens long term side effects potentially caused by the shock from an AED. 5. Self Tests:  Most AEDs perform weekly self tests. The Philips AED conducts daily self tests, weekly self tests, and monthly self tests. This is an extra measure taken by Philips to ensure that the device is always ready for an emergency. If for some reason, the device is not functioning properly, it will immediately alert the owner with an audible beep. The Philips Warranty department can then be contacted to assist the owner in determining what should be done to make the device operational. The Philips Heartstart Onsite and FRx AEDs come with an 8 year warranty on the unit and will be immediately replaced in the unlikely event that there is an issue with the AED.  Please allow up to TWO WEEKS for arrival.  Each unit is tested properly prior to shipping! 14 day returns are accepted. There will be a 20% restocking fee plus buyer pays for shipping.
