Shipping Policy: (a) Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight: HGR can provide you with a competitive shipping rate via our logistics broker. Our rates are only valid if prepaid on our account. If you have an account with a carrier and wish to use them, we can ship out freight collect via the carrier of your choice. With all LTL freight there is a handling charge (see Section 20 of HGR User Agreement). (b) Your truck: HGR will load items, as is on your truck free of charge. (c) Truckload and Containers: HGR can assist you in setting up truckloads and containers. The shipment will come freight collect to you. HGR loads for free, but does not assist in strapping or securing the items. 20. Handling Policy. HGR does charge a $19.99 handling fee for all items that need to be prepared for a LTL shipment. This handling charge is for the skid, stretch wrap, and securing the item to the skid. The handling fee is skid based at $19.99 per skid, with the skid being 40” x 48”. Skids oversized will be subject to an additional charge. 21. Storage Policy. Unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing, all items are required to be removed or shipped within forty-five (45) days of receipt. Items left beyond the 45 day time allowed will be subject to storage fees beginning on the forty-sixth (46th) day of receipt. The storage fee is Twenty Dollars U.S. Currency ($20.00) per day, per item. Items left beyond ninety (90) days will be considered abandoned and the customer forfeits the rights to the item or items. There will be no exceptions. UPS/USPS: If purchase is less than 75 lbs and fits into a box we have in stock, then it may be able to go UPS or USPS (less than 70 lbs). We charge a $4.99 handling charge for our professional packaging. We will provide you with the costs usually within 1 business day of purchase. Packing may include bubble wrap, packing paper, insta-foam packaging, or other forms of protection for securing the item. We DO NOT ship Fed Ex ground or DHL. We can NOT use other UPS accounts other than our own. At HGR’s discretion, items that are deemed bulky and/or heavier than 75 lbs, we will NOT ship UPS/USPS. We require freight shipping to reduce the chance of damages. The customer is under no obligation to use our carrier and still may set up their own trucking. These carriers do not accept uncrated used machinery: Roadrunner, Ward (Daylight’s local carrier), NEMF, Old Dominion, and Estes. We are not responsible for re-rates or damages caused by carriers. ** Prior to signing any paperwork, ie a BOL, it is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect all freight for damages. In the event you determine anything is damaged, you have two options – 1.) Sign the BOL as DAMAGED and Deny the freight and it will be returned to HGR for a refund minus freight costs, or 2.)Sign the BOL as damaged, and accept that the carrier is only liable for 10 cents per pound and that will be the MAX you will receive back. In either case, please take as many pictures of the damages as possible and make notes of the damages.
